Brief Description

One of the finest trekking experiences for you would be hiking in the Garhwal region and discovering the isolated valleys of Uttarakhand. The Rupin Supin Trek is as entertaining as the name suggests. The Valleys, which are located in Uttarakhand's northwestern region and on the border with Himachal Pradesh, are among the most gorgeous and lovely in the state. Trekking along the Rupin River inside the Govind Pashu National Park's borders will be a life-changing event for you. You will get the opportunity to explore the two valleys in a beautiful trip through high hills, viewing the massive Himalayan peaks, primarily the Kinnaur Kailash Range, in the Garhwal Himalayas. The trip to Rupin Supin will wow you with its bizarre vistas, snow-capped mountains, and isolated valleys of Garhwal and Kinnaur at every stride and turn. The Rupin Supin Trek begins in Uttarakhand, in Bheetri. From there, we'll go to Kurla Thaach, where we'll pass through a few woods before arriving to Rikatik Odi. Take a few seconds to appreciate the magnificent views of the valley from this location, which connects the Rupin and Supin Valleys. To go to the Supin Valley, you'll have to pass through a few more Himalayan towns, leaving the Rupin Valley behind. Enjoy the comforts of homestays before returning to Dehradun and spending the night at Sankri.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - From Dehradun to Himri

You are on your own when you get in Dehradun. We will leave Dehradun early in the morning to reach Tons Valley. To travel to Himri, public or private transportation is readily available. The path, which passes via Nainbagh and Damta, will take you up into the highlands. Purola is the last city on the road with decent network coverage if you need to make any crucial calls. We'll enter the Tons Valley and pass through Mori and Netwar, after which we'll ride along the Rupin River, stopping at Himri between Netwar and Dhaula to sleep by the river for the night.

Day 2 - From himri to bheetri to kurala thaach (8km)

Jeeps will be waiting for us at Himri after a quick breakfast. We'll depart for Bheetri, the last motorable settlement on our journey. Bheetri is a typical Garhwal Himalayan hamlet, with over a hundred families. We begin going towards Kurala Thaach from Bheetri. After crossing Bheerti and travelling for 2 kilometres, we arrive at Sarutaal and appreciate the views of Rupin Valley from the cliff. Sarutaal is a tiny, lovely seasonal pond on the cliff's edge. Take a break at the beach before embarking on a 6-kilometer journey into the woods. You'll arrive in Kurala Thaach, a large green meadow where residents dwell with their herds of cattle and equines.

Day 3 - From Kurala Thaach to Rikatik Odi (8km)

We'll set out early in the morning to begin our journey up the mountain face, passing through a few woods on our way to the summit. To an elevation of 11154 feet, we will arrive at Simon Tee, which provides spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks. We'll continue along the mountaintop, taking in the breathtaking views. After a bit, we'll arrive at Rikatik Odi, which serves as a link between the Rupin and Supin Valleys. We'll set a tent in Rikatik Odi's desolate landscape.

Day 4 - From Rikatik Odi to Phitadi Odi (8kms)

We'll leave the Rupin Valley behind today and enter the Supin Valley. We'll travel through a coniferous forest to Phitadi, a traditional Garhwal hamlet with wooden houses and slate stone roofs. We get the opportunity to learn more about the local culture and traditions while we are here. We can go to a local homestay and spend some time with the residents, learning about their tales and intriguing life experiences.

Day 5 - From Phitadi to Jakhol

Our journey comes to an end today. In the morning, we'll go for Jakhol. We will arrive in the town of Supin Valley, which is also the entrance to the Supin Valley, after passing extensive farmlands. We may visit the village's big temple, which is devoted to the local god. We'll spend some time in the village before heading to Sankri, which is about an hour away from Jakhol. At Sankri, we'll spend the night.

Day 6 - From Sankri to Dehradun

Our wonderful Rupin Supin Trek comes to an end in Dehradun, which is a 7-hour journey from Sankri. Proceed to your next location.
