Spiti Valley Trip

7D/6N

Brief Description

Spiti is one of the coldest regions in India, and its fame stems from the snow-covered mountains, significant snowfall, hiking paths, and monasteries that can be found there. The region known as Spiti, which is located between Tibet and India, gets its name from the Tibetan phrase for "the intermediate place." Spiti is renowned for its Buddhist culture and is home to a number of Buddhist monasteries, including the Tabo Monastery, Kungri Monastery, Dhankar Monastery, and Key Monastery. At this location, you will also discover the Temple of Trilokinath. Together with the crescent-shaped Suraj Tal Lake, the gorgeous Chandratal Lake in Spiti Valley is another feature that absolutely cannot be missed by travellers to this region.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - From Shimla to Kalpa (7-8hrs)

Pickup at the Shimla station. Have fun exploring the rugged landscape as you make your way through it. Take in the sights along the road at well-known destinations like as Kufri, Narkanda, and Rampur. Dinner and a stay at Kalpa for the night.

Day 2 - From Kalpa to Tabo via Nako village & Gue monastery

After breakfast, you should start heading in the direction of Tabo. You will stop at the town of Nako and pay a visit to the well-known Nako Lake on your way to Tabo. The lake in Nako is often frozen over throughout the winter months, which makes for a breathtaking sight to see. When you've finished your business in Nako, go on to Tabo. Tabo offers supper and a place to rest for the night.

Day 3 - From Tabo to Dhankar to Pin Valley

When you have finished eating breakfast, you need to get moving in the direction of Tabo. On the approach to Tabo, you will make a diversion to the village of Nako and pay a visit to the lake that has the same name. It is very uncommon for the lake in Nako to become completely frozen over throughout the course of winter, which is a stunning sight to see. Go on to Tabo after you've completed taking care of business in Nako. Tabo is an establishment that provides meals in addition to a place to stay for the night.

Day 4 - From Kaza to Key monastery to Kibber to Chicham

Visit the well-known Key monastery, which is one of the largest monasteries in the Spiti valley, once you have finished your meal. After seeing Key Monastery, go on to Kibber, which is at its busiest and most visited during the winter months (when a variety of Himalayan fauna descends from the higher slopes). The well-known Chicham Bridge, which is one of the tallest bridges in Asia, is located about 5 kilometres to the north of Kibber. Visit Kaza monastery & over night stay in kaza.

Day 5 - From Hikkim to Komic to Langza Sightseeing

When you've finished eating, go in the direction of the settlement of Hikkim. Hikkim is the name of the hamlet that is home to the world's tallest post office. Following Hikkim, you will visit Komic. The hamlet of Komic in Asia is recognised as having the highest motorable road of any settlement on the continent. After that, pay a visit to the settlement of Langza! The majestic snow-capped mountains and the world-famous Buddha statue located close to Langza provide for the ideal setting for some quiet time spent alone. Dinner and a stay at Kaza for the night.

Day 6 - From Kaza to Spillo/Kalpa ( 224km)

After breakfast this morning, we will go on the road and make our way to Spillo or Kalpa today. Make every effort to have an early start so that you will have time to see the well-known Giu Monastery. Dinner and a stay at Kaza for the night.

Day 7 - Drive from Kalpa to Shimla

Have a good time on the final day of the tour as you make your way back to Shimla. On the other hand, we shall be looking forward to having you back with us for many more exciting experiences in the future.
